What is the HUSTLE:

It is a support group for creatives and small business, run by Rox Webster of STUDIO NL. The HUSTLE group is made up of around 400 folk all trying to make a living doing something they love.

Studio NL  have decided to take the HUSTLE on the road sharing what we’ve learnt, listening to others and supporting one another. This will be the first London HUSTLE.

The group is really relaxed, you don’t have to have a business or a website to join in, just ideas and experiences will do.

Who’s the HUSTLE for:

anyone creative, anyone who has a small businesses, a start up, if you’re a maker, a local business, anyone who thinks they have something to offer or an experience worth sharing.

What happens at a typical HUSTLE:

Normally we go around the group, talking about why were here, how we heard about the HUSTLE, what we’re currently doing and where we would like to be. If you’re a regular you can talk about what you’ve been up to since your last HUSTLE. We like to give everyone the chance to talk as this leads on to other interesting conversions and helps other people be inspired and get motivated, after this we mingle and connect with who ever we like.

The workshop will begin with studying and exploring Lakshmi’s artwork. Following this participants will be invited to select and crop their chosen backgrounds to work with, and then the printing will begin.

Using lino prints, children will have the opportunity to choose a selection of the Little Art Forms shapes to work with and to create an animated stack image over the top of Lakshmi’s work.

Calais donations needed

Jessica Traylin the talented lady behind Infant art club & her friend Claire will be visiting Calais at the end of the month to volunteer with Calais Kitchens , a small independent charity made up of volunteers who provide essential meals and food packages to 10k refugees living in the ‘jungle’. In light of the news that the camp is due to be dismantled at the end of October, Jessica and Claire are focusing on collecting quality donations to take with them, including warm clothing, accessories, shoes, blankets, rucksacks & and sleeping bags that these people will be in desperate need of, with very difficult journeys ahead of them. If you would like to donate any items you can drop them off at the shop or post them to us up until the 26th October. Please only donate items in good condition that will be useful and practical. Feel free to spread to word. Thanks! X
