Sunday 10TH July 2016, 10AM-11AM
AT Molly Meg, 111 Essex Rd, London, N1 2SL

In this workshop children will be given a selection of hand painted pieces of wood to use to create their very own Totem pole.

Participants will be invited to express something about their clan, tribe, interests or inner feelings through building a Totem pole, using a variety of art materials. The sculpture might represent a story or event, but could just enable children to engage with an enjoyable creative process.

The Totems may become a sacred object or communicate something special about your child’s sense of self and individuality.

All of the finished Totems will meet one another and stand together at the end of the workshop, before their creators take them away to see their new homes..

Please select the Totem that you would like to work with during this workshop:

Ham Screen printing workshop

We had a lovely day screen printing with Ham on Sunday. Jo & Sam worked their socks off printing 100 silver silk screen superhero Rabbits with everyone that came to visit. Each person got to take home a silver super hero bunny signed by Jo and themselves. Thank you to everyone who came along. Ham’s in-store exhibition will be in store until the 20th July

Shop front progress

When I found the shop on Essex road one of the things I was really excited about was the big free space above the window. I wanted to do something a bit different with it so we fixed it up and then I decided to leave it blank few months whilst we got the interior sorted and got settled with all the madness that went on with opening a new shop

I asked Jo if she would like to put a big Ham rabbit up on the front to launch Ham’s new wall sticker collection and our in-store HAM exhibition

The plan is to change the front every few months and have the chance to collaborate with lots of different talented people I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to work with.

If you have an idea please get in touch

Watch this space.

SKETCHBOOK - MARKS AND COLLAGE work shop with little art forms

Sunday 1st May 2016, 10AM-11AM
AT Molly Meg, 111 Essex Rd, London, N1 2SL

All ages welcome

Please come and join us at the shop for another brilliant workshop with Little Art forms.

In this workshop children will be given a beautifully designed sketchbook to reshape, using a variety of art materials.

Through collage and mark making the sketchbooks will take on a new life and be transformed by participants, into unique art objects.

Little Art Forms collaborated with artist and illustrator Peter Cline to design a sketchbook for children to use and ‘light up’ in this mark making and collage workshop.

Children will be given a sketchbook at the beginning of the workshop to use and create freely within. Images are placed throughout the book with an aim to encourage and enhance children’s creative processes, playfulness and imaginative thinking.

Spaces are limited, for booking please see the link below:

A few photos from our recent wooden book cover design workshop with Little art forms. What a great morning. Looking forward to the next one.

Sunday 20th March 2016, 10AM-11AM
AT Molly Meg, 111 Essex Rd, London, N1 2SL

In this workshop, children will have the opportunity to create stories and design a cover for their very own imaginary book, using a variety of art materials. Little Art Forms have hand painted pieces of wood for children to work over and take home at the end of the workshop.

The workshop will start with children being encouraged to consider what symbols, character’s, moods and images might be found in their imaginary book and then express these thoughts and feelings through art media.

Using their wooden books as a ‘blank canvas’, children will then select elements of their stories that they would like to include in their book cover design.

The finished books will exist as a piece of unique art and design in its own right that can also be placed at home alongside your child’s favourite books.

Workshop times: 1st workshop starts at 12pm and the 2nd at 2pm
